Texas State Print - Prickly Pear

• 13" x 19" archival giclee print

The Texas Prickly Pear; official state plant. It may not be the most welcoming or gentle flora, but it’s beauty and hardy nature cannot be denied. The fruit of the cacti or “tuna” has provided food for natives of the Southwest for thousands of years. It can be used to make syrups, preserves, tea, alcohol and more. It also reminds me of Pokeys from Super Mario Bros.
